Preface

We wanted to start a trucking company and a bus company. "Consultants" wanted to sell us expensive and complicated "How To" services, but we didn't need all the stuff they wanted to sell us. We needed help in only SOME areas. Their offerings were way too fancy and expensive for us! So, we did it ourselves, including getting ready for Comprehensive Safety Analysis (CSA 2010), FMCSA's new enforcement and safety compliance program, with a strong focus on DRIVER behavior.

We wrote down what we did, and now we can show how YOU can do it yourself, too! AND save BIG. Start your own company on your own. Our simple, Do-It-Yourself step-by-step Toolkit shows you every step. Sure, it's work. But so is anything you do to achieve true independence. You'll also keep more of the money you earn.

But if you need our help, we provide loads of valuable experience to serve you with only those things your company needs.  With CSA 2010 coming, we can help you prepare now so that you can make a smooth and LEGAL transition to the new regulations.

Why take home an hourly wage, or pay some other company 20-25% or more of the money you earn just to lease your power equipment with them? Get your OWN authority and keep it all.

If you already have a truck or bus company, this Toolkit is an ideal compliance refresher, and a quick way to prepare for CSA 2010.

     Learn useful things like:

     • when to throw things away
     • checklists to get ready for government assessments, reviews, and audits
     • WHEN to do WHAT
     • how much each step costs
     • TOOLS to get the job done

This Toolkit makes starting and maintaining your own trucking or bus company less costly, less painful, less time consuming, and far less frustrating because we provide everything you need to Do-It-Yourself!

To your Success,
The Safety Compliance Management Team

  Do-It-Yourself

OR WE CAN ASSIST YOU WITH MANAGEMENT CHOICES FOR A FEE.

WE WILL NOT DO IT FOR YOU. YOU have to make the decisions and be personally involved. This is the only way you can prepare for the inevitable Safety Audits, Compliance Reviews, and CSA 2010 Assessments.

WE ARE NOT (and do not want to be) YOUR SAFETY OR COMPLIANCE DEPARTMENT. YOU are the one who has to face the Federal Inspectors. YOU must provide documentation showing compliance in all areas (see the FREE Compliance Checklist). Our Forms and pre-written company Policies help you operate legally without writing everything yourself.

Of course, if you really need help, contact our management team. We can provide much of what you need via email, saving you a lot of money. It will cost more for us to send one of our people to your location. It is up to you.

In either case, we will focus on whatever your needs are, from complete setup of required documentation to helpig you to stay ahead of government change. We can check your records, help you learn about CSA 2010, and address any recognized deficiencies to ensure safety compliance. Don't gamble your future - take action now!

 Government

Change Ahead!

CSA 2010 changes how FMCSA rates carriers based on

  • unsafe carrier & driver behaviors that lead to crashes
  • safety-based roadside inspection violations
  • increased DRIVER accountability for on-road safety

In the past, more than 97% of all USDOT Compliance Reviews resulted in violation penalties to teach the carrier that safety is serious business. CSA 2010 will reach more carriers faster to correct deficiencies before they lead to crashes, often without fines or penalties.

  You must:
• register with USDOT
• get operating authorities
• prove that your company is safe
• maintain detailed paperwork
• PASS CSA 2010 assessments, safety audits, and compliance reviews

The number one violation is improper Drug and Alcohol Testing. We show you how to avoid problems in this area. Next is improper Vehicle Maintenance and Inspection Reports. We'll help you set up the right files, the right way. The top reason for roadside out of service orders is Log violations. Our easy Log section shows you how to reduce or eliminate out-of-service orders.
